How do I Apply?

Emerging Technology Fund Process   
 

1.    Carefully read the Investment Criteria needed to apply for funding. If you meet the criteria listed you may proceed by filing an application.
 

2.    Fill out the Project Proposal Application. Please note: There is a $250 fee to apply.

 

3.    Submit documents.

 

A)    Submit the application directly to the TLSC or to your local Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC).  See Regional Map to         determine appropriate RCIC. 

B)     The application fee must be submitted to the following address:

Please note that this fee must be received before your application can be processed.

 

Process for Applications Once Received (an application can be rejected at any stage of the review process):

 

·       RCIC or TLSC Staff Review - receives and logs applications.

·       TLSC Board Review - The applications will then be reviewed for consideration by the TLSC Board. Applicants may be called on to make a presentation to the TLSC Board.

·       Intellectual Property Review – Vinson & Elkins provides a review of an applicant’s intellectual property for the TLSC Board.

·       Scientific Review - TLSC may convene a scientific review team, which will review the applications for scientific merit.

·       Emerging Technology Fund Advisory Committee Review - The 17-member ETF advisory committee will review those submitted to this level and make recommendations to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Speaker. Applicants will also make a presentation at this level.

·       Awards announced.
